Meet Dr. Jen Esquer

One of the most accomplished grapplers in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Jonathan Torres became recognized in his career through his unique style and world champion titles.

Having trained under some of the best coaches, his knowledge of the sport is top tier.  However, Torres was a high school athlete before he started Jiu Jitsu. It's through his diverse athleticism that he has been able to achieve such accomplishments at BJJ.

JT's passion for training came when he opened Essential BJJ.  He likes to focus as much on physical fitness as he does grappling technique since the best conditioned athletes make the best fighters.

Jiu Jitsu is known as "The Game of Human Chess" because it's all about strategy and technique.  A great BJJ athlete has a great connection from mind to body.

This program aims to strengthen the body with exercises that benefit your overall skill in the sport.  Each workout is unique and designed to build your endurance, strength, mobility, and technique.

You will get strong, your body will burn any stored fat, and you'll improve your overall athleticism.  Even if you're not competing or training at BJJ, this workout is unique and a ton of fun.

Warming up for BJJ is critical since the body is manipulated in such a wide variety of ways. This warmup gets the blood pumping,

The dynamic warmup focuses on dynamic movements that elongate the muscles and require more mobility to open up the body.

Each workout is unique and designed to get your body strong, mobile, and conditioned like a BJJ athlete. Be prepared to move and sweat!

Jiu Jitsu requires more flexibility than most other sports because of the wide variety of ways the body is manipulated.. Don't skip this part!

This is optional (since it would require having a foam roller), however it's suggested and used by all the top athletes for muscle release & recovery.
